Coffee has been taken black since the day it was introduced into this world. Each time you ask the average working man or woman they will tell you they prefer coffee served straight from the pot. There are many ways to make this perfect morning beverage perfect for all coffee lovers.

1. Salt

Adding salt can help take away some of the bitterness that straight black coffee has to offer. The addition of salt helps to trick your taste buds and enhance the flavor of this loving morning beverage.

2. Cinnamon

Cinnamon is another flavorful ingredient that coffee lovers are now adding to their beverages. It can be added in two different ways. First, it can be placed inside of the filter with the coffee before making it. Secondly, it can be added after the coffee has already been made to give it a more appetizing taste. Lastly, the consumer can add a few cinnamon sticks if they aren’t huge fans of the power.

3. Cardamom

Cardamom is another spice that is commonly added to coffee in the Middle East. This spice gives coffee an exotic flavor. This helps to stimulate the caffeine. This can be added by sprinkling the powder into the filter or dropping two whole cardamom beans into your cup.

4. Flavored Ice Cubes

Cubes of milk and/or other flavors can be added as well. Many people love the taste of coffee, but aren’t huge fans of when it’s hot. By simply going into your kitchen and adding a few of your favorite sweet treats and making them into ice cubes will enhance the flavor.

5. As a Breakfast

Coffee can always be the perfect breakfast. When oatmeal and graham crackers or another kind of trail mixes are added, then you can transform it into a power breakfast. This can be made in the comfort of your home or at your local Starbucks.

6. Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

Unsweetened cocoa powder can transfer your morning cop of Joe into a mocha cup of coffee. Many people think about adding something new to their cup of coffee and by adding chocolate, it adds to loving tastes into one.

7. Butter

Another unusual ingredient is butter.  Many experts say that adding butter to your coffee can help with low carb drink. This style of coffee is popular with the Paleo and Ketogenic crowd. Adding butter can help as an energy boost and many will replace it as breakfast.

8. Vanilla Extract

Vanilla Extract is another loved ingredient that is added to give a homey feeling to your beverage. This extract come directly from vanilla beans and  by adding this you will not need any sugar.

9. Coconut Milk

Coconut Milk is for those non-dairy coffee lovers. There are a lot of people that love adding milk, but cannot consume dairy or just simply don’t like it. Adding an additional flavor can be vanilla extract and creaming your own creamer.
